Create your own online library! LibraryThing is an online service to help people catalogue their books easily. You can access your catalogue from anywhere, edit your information, search and sort it, "tag" books with your own subjects, or use the Library of Congress and Dewey systems to organize your collection. A free account allows you to catalogue up to 200 books.

LibraryThing also connects people. You can check out other people's libraries, see who has the most similar library to yours, swap reading suggestions and so forth. LibraryThing also makes book recommendations based on the collective intelligence of the other libraries.

World Wide Science is a global science gateway — accelerating scientific discovery and progress through a multilateral partnership to enable federated searching of national and international scientific databases. Databases you can search simultaneously include the Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information and Science.gov (US).

OzCoast and OzEstuaries website

The OzCoast and OzEstuaries website provides access to the largest central source of coastal information and data in Australia. Included is a new Geology and Geomorphology module with 3D models and shallow water benthic habitat mapping case studies, an Environmental Management module and new information sheets on coastal issues related to climate change as well as the science underpinning commonly used estuary and coastal indicators. The name OzCoast and OzEstuaries is transitional and the site will assume the name OzCoasts in July 2008.

Selecting weed replacement plants for use by frugivorous birds

Australia's Weeds CRC has developed a web-based tool to help gardeners and land managers choose native plants to replace weeds with fleshy fruit, such as camphor laurel and lantana, which have become an accessible food source for native birds.

The CLC is a research tool that can support organisations with research on HR issues such as employee engagement and retention, performance management, leadership development and diversity.

Membership Details
The Office of the Public Service Commissioner has arranged a one-year membership for the Queensland Public Sector with financial assistance from Qld Health, Department of Public Works, Qld Transport, Main Roads and QR Ltd. As a member, Qld public servants have unlimited access to all CLC facilities.

How do I access the CLC?
Firstly obtain a username and password by following these simple steps:

Click on ‘Get a username and password’
Complete the form
Click ‘Submit’
You will receive an email with your login information within one business day
